Prioritising Applications

When you apply for a HomeSelecta property we will prioritise your application differently from the way we would normally do so. This is because it is not possible to compare the different pointing and banding schemes that we all use.

Your application will be prioritised using one of three preference types:

  • Additional Preference
  • Reasonable Preference
  • No Preference

If you have a housing need your preference type will be reasonable preference otherwise it will be no preference.

Additional preference will only be awarded in exceptional circumstances where an applicant urgently needs to move away from the area they are living in.

Applicants with additional preference will be considered first in date order , then those with reasonable preference in date order and then those with no preference in date order. The date used is your original application date.
